VASTUMANGAL Frame

Vastumangal consists of eight auspicious symbols of Hindu religion.

OM (Aum) appears at the beginning and end of most Sanskrit recitations, prayers, and texts. Om refers to ultimate reality, entirety of the universe, truth, divine, supreme spirit, cosmic principles, knowledge.

Kalasha is a holly pot filled with water and topped with a coronet of mango leaves and a coconut, is used as a ceremonial object in all religious functions and Pujas. Kalasha is considered a symbol of abundance and source of life.

Padma (Lotus) It is regarded as the symbol of youth, divine beauty, and purity of life.

Swastik is a symbol of good luck and well-being. It is often drawn on doors, walls and many auspicious places.

Shankha (the conch shell) is often blown at the beginning of any religious ritual to pacify the inauspicious and impure. The shankha is praised as a giver of fame, longevity and prosperity, the cleanser of sin and the abode of goddess Lakshmi.

Surya (Sun) is a source of light and cosmic power. Sun is called as 'the eye of the universe, soul of all existence and origin of life.

Agni, the fire God is believed to be the purifier and occupies the central figure in all solemn ceremonies. No worship or prayer is completed without its presence.

Kamadhenu - the ancestor of all cows is regarded as a divine wish fulfilling cow. Since Vedas it is believed that all Gods, Goddess, including the Trinity has their abode in the cow. It brings good fortune to those who worship the cow.
