Sabarmati Ashram Sabarmati Ashram is located in the Sabarmati suburb of Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This was one of the residences of Mahatma Gandhi & his wife, Kasturaba Gandhi. The Indian Government has established the ashram as a national Monument. Gandhi led India to independence and inspired movements for non-violence, civil rights and freedom across the world.

Swaminarayan Akshardham Swaminarayan Akshardham in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. At the center of the 23 acre complex is the Akshardham mandir, which is built from 6,000 metric tons of pink sandstone from Rajasthan.
