The Parvati temple is the oldest heritage structure in Pune and was built during the rule of the Peshwa dynasty. It is the second highest point in Pune (after Vetal Hill).

The historic Sinhagad Hill & Fort (1312 mtrs) is a part of the Bhuleshwar range of the Sahyadri Mountains. It is a popular trekking destination and serves as the southern backdrop of the city. It represents the history of the conquest of Shivaji and his trusted lieutenant Tanaji Malusare who won the fort back from the Mughals and changed its name from Kondhana to Sinhagad!

Oxford of the East- Pune is the seat of the College of Engineering (COEP), the second oldest engineering institution in India (1854).
